Taylor Swift's new music video for the single "You What You Made Me Do" has set an all-new YouTube record when it comes to views. It is the most watched video for the first 24 hours it debuted.

The "You What You Made Me Do" music video debuted on Sunday and was viewed 43.2 million times in its first 24 hours of going up on YouTube.

As reported by Deadline, this is a new YouTube record as no other video on the site garnered that many views in the span of just one day.

The previous record belonged to Psy's "Gentleman" which earned itself 36 million views in 24 hours back in 2013. It is expected that Taylor Swift's new single will be one of the biggest hits of 2017.

Analysts predict that 500,000 downloads of the song will be bought in its first week. It will easily be on top of the Billboard 100 chart.

The new single is off of the album "Reputation" which will be out in stores this November 10th. It will be the singer's sixth album released to date.

However, it sounds like the new album will showcase a different side to the singer that is different to what she did previously.

Swift is going for a more mainstream pop audience with this new album and is shedding her good girl image in the process.

The reason the music video has been so popular is because Swift implicitly references some of the drama that has been going on in her life for the past couple of years.

This includes beef with other celebrities and more just to name a few...
