Synopses Revealed For Season 3 Returns Of Supergirl And The Flash

The Flash and Supergirl are set to return next month and The CW has now revealed the plot details for the upcoming episodes.

Things are shaping up because the last episodes that aired had severe consequences for both Kara and Barry.

TVLine has posted the details on the upcoming episodes of both shows. Supergirl airs first on January 15th with the episode called "Legion of Superheroes" and you can read the plot summary down below.

Struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign, Supergirl remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached. Mon-El recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5 (Defiance's Jesse Rath), to try to bring her back. Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her.

The Flash then airs on January 16th and the episode is called "The Trial of the Flash".

The short plot summary says "As Barry's trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris and Joe must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison."

It sounds like both The Flash and Supergirl won't be at full strength when they return. Supergirl is still injured from her fight with Reign while Barry Allen has been arrested for the wrongful accusation of killing Clifford DeVoe.

As always, we will be posting our reviews and recaps on both shows to stay tuned. As for now, we just have to wait just over two more weeks until we can watch both shows again.

Other shows returning next year on The CW include Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Not to mention 2018 will also see the debut of a new show called "Black Lightning".
