Supergirl Season 2 Finale Will Show A Glimpse Of The Season 3 Villain

The CW superhero shows are great and they always follow a similar pattern of revealing on what is to come next in the next season.

Supergirl is no different as its Season 2 finale airing later this month will show us a glimpse on who the main villain of Season 3 might be.

Supergirl executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg teased what is to come during an interview with CBR.

He said that the Season 2 finale is a big spectacle that features a lot of guest stars, stunts, visual effects and even "feature film quality".

He also said "will get a glimpse of the Season 3 villain in the finale, which we're also excited about".

Who the Season 3 villain is nobody knows yet apart from the creators of the show. General Zod is expected to be featured in the Season 2 finale, but CBR speculates Kreisberg is talking about someone else we don't know about.

After all, General Zod is more of a Superman bad guy. Not to mention Zod has been featured many times before in other mediums, so it's possible the show creators want to feature someone else for a change.

Kreisberg gave no other hints as to how this villain might be. We all just have to find out when the Supergirl Season 2 finale airs on May 22nd.

The character has a huge list of DC villains that she could face up against. Hopefully it is someone exciting that has rarely featured in live action form before.

It's also great to see that the show is still going to its third season.

Season 2 may not have been good as the first one, but it's still entertaining and features many comic book style action sequences. Who do you want as the Season 3 villain?
