By now most hardcore DC fans would have already seen the Justice League movie in the cinema. The movie sets up some exciting things that will happen in the inevitable sequel coming out in the near future.

Bear in mind, some major spoilers about the Justice League movie will be discussed here.

If you have not seen it, click away right now. If you've seen it or don't care, you can read on to find out what happens.

Anyway, the first mid-credits scene is a homage to the old comic books as The Flash challenges Superman to a race. Sadly though, we only see the beginning of the race until it fades out.

We just have to predict ourselves who is the winner. My money is on Superman since this version of The Flash is still a rookie.

The post-credits scene is where things will lead into Justice League 2.

With Steppenwolf gone, many people assumed that Darkseid is coming next. Well it looks like we have to wait longer for Darkseid because the sequel might focus on different villains instead.

In the post-credits scene, we learn that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor has somehow escaped Arkham Asylum. He is now riding on a private boat somewhere in the ocean where the authorities cannot find him.

Luthor is then greeted by a masked visitor.

This visitor is none other than Deathstroke/Slade Wilson played by Joe Manganiello! A Superman villain and a Batman villain are working together. Luthor wants to assemble a team of his own to combat the Justice League.

Justice League 2 might call this team the 'Injustice League' or the 'Legion of Doom'.

In either case, the sequel sets up an exciting battle between the good guy team and a bad guy team. It should be an epic showdown so expect to hear more villain announcements in the near future
