Spider-Man: Homecoming's Rating Is Very High On Rotten Tomatoes

The review embargo for Spider-Man: Homecoming has lifted and we now have a idea on how good the movie is.

It appears as if Marvel is yet again made another crowd pleasing movie. Many reviewers feel that this is the best Spider-Man movie since 2004's Spider-Man 2.

As of time of writing, the current rating for Spider-Man: Homecoming on Rotten Tomatoes is a really impressive 93 percent. Currently, 53 reviewers like the movie while only 4 of them gave it a negative score.

The average score for the film is 7.7/10. This means the movie is getting around 3 or 4 stars out of 5. You can read the critical consensus below.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming does whatever a second reboot can, delivering a colorful, fun adventure that fits snugly in the sprawling MCU without getting bogged down in franchise building."

The latter part is the most telling story for me.

I did not like the unnecessary world building that took place far too often in movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Tom Cruise's The Mummy. It sounds like Homecoming stands as a proper movie of its own.

After the failure of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, Sony and Marvel should be happy with this third iteration of the character going forward in the future. Sequels are already planned and Spider-Man will be back for the Avengers sequels too.

Spider-Man: Homecoming releases on North America on July 7th, 2017. Due to the good reviews so far, the movie could open big at the Box Office when it comes out next week.

The character has always been a worldwide favorite. The film could be one of the highest earners of 2017 if audiences think the same way as the critics so far.
