It has been an eventful weekend at the Box Office both in North America and Internationally. Kingsman: The Golden Circle managed to win the North America Box Office weekend while Spider-Man: Homecoming has reached several new milestones.

Estimates suggest that Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be grossing approximately $39 million in North America this weekend. This is on par with the first movie which earned $36.2 million in its opening weekend. Internationally, Kingsman 2 has grossed over $100.2 million worldwide already.

Stephen King's 'It' still manages to be the best performing movie in September history. The movie earned an estimated $30 million in its third weekend at the box office. From a worldwide standpoint, the movie has earned over $478 million.

The other big release was The Lego Ninjago Movie. Sadly, the film grossed far less compared to The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman movie.

Ninjago only got $21.2 million in its opening weekend with a total of $31.7 million worldwide. These are disappointing numbers for an animated family film.

Well some good news is that Spider-Man: Homecoming has become the best performing superhero movie of 2017.

Thanks to the recent opening in China, the movie now stands at over $874 million. It managed to overtake the worldwide gross of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which received $873.3 million back in 2016.

Sony were smart to partner up with Marvel for Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is because the two The Amazing Spider-Man movies underperformed.

They still made over $700 million worldwide, but they weren't as well received as the other movies in the franchise. A third Amazing Spider-man film would not have gotten a lot of money if Sony continued with that iteration.
