This week's episode of Saturday Night Live (1/25/2015) was taken over by country music singer and The Voice star coach, Blake Shelton, who proved he is a multi-talented, funny dude.

Cold Open: Patriots Press Conference

The NFL's "deflated balls" escaped no one, and SNL went ahead and featured making fun of Bill Belicheck and Tom Brady as their show opener.

Taran Killan totally nailed the general pretty boy air of stupidity around Tom Brady.

And of course, a direct joke about balls was necessary: "We live in a world that has balls, and those balls need to be inflated by men, with pumps."

Laugh Level: There's a chuckle in at the end there.

Opening Monologue with Host/Musical Guest, Blake Shelton

"I'm kind of like the Justin Bieber of country music," Shelton said.

"Just a trouble making cutie." Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) was so charming with his country kicks and guitar, and got everyone together for an old-fashioned SNL-style hoe down complete with "nice country jokes." But naturally, the cast of SNL has no idea what a wholesome country joke is.

If you're unfamiliar with the likes of Shelton, he is an accomplished country music star with a killer sense of humor. He's basically a legend in country music.

Laugh Level: Country music fans should enjoy this one.

Opening Skit: Farm Hunk

Shelton stars in a skit making fun of the usual Bachelor show contestants, who are all fake, vapid, and exactly the same.

Shelton has to convince the ladies to move to Iowa, where there's "only old men" and he'll be missing for "long periods of time." The ladies of SNL would all "love that."

Laugh Level: Um. 5/10?

Skit #2: Wishin' Boot

Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Blake Shelton sing an inspirational country music tune about a "wishing boot," the magical cowboy boot full of food that saved their lives.

It's really amusing and refreshing to watch stereotypical country songs made fun of so well.

Laugh Level: #lol #WishingBoot

Next week's episode of SNL will be hosted by the legendary J.K. Simmons, and featured musical guest, D'Angelo.
