There's been a lot of controversy lately about NFL players not standing up on their feet when the American National Anthem is being played before games.

Well the NBA All Star game had a more humorous incident and it regards to the poor performance of Fergie's singing.

The NBA players and spectators stood up and respected both the Canadian and American national anthems at the NBA All Star game on Sunday featuring Team LeBron vs Team Curry.

The Canadian anthem went well thanks to the Barenaked Ladies (band), but Fergie faltered while singing the American national anthem.

I watched the NBA game myself and realized some of the players were trying their best not to laugh at Fergie's performance. Fergie was not being disrespectful - she just seemed to have an off night regarding her voice.

Fergie apologized for her performance during an exclusive interview she had with TMZ. You can read her comments on the topic posted down below.

"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."

Some artists usually like to add their own spin on the national anthem. It appears Fergie's attempt did not resonate well with a lot of people that watched the game yesterday.

Speaking of the NBA All Star game, LeBron James' team won over Team Curry. Not to mention LeBron James himself was named the MVP as he had the most points of the night with a score of 29.
