The Rumored SummerSlam 2018 Main Event Sounds Terrible

As reported by Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer, WWE has already brainstormed the main event for SummerSlam 2018 and it's a match that many fans won't like to see.

For those wanting to know, the main event for SummerSlam might be Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for the third time this year!

It's worth mentioning this is just an early plan, although Vince McMahon usually does not listen to the fans.

For some reason, McMahon loves booking the same matches over and over again no matter how many times fans disagree with his decisions.

The thing that makes this potential main event terrible is the fact their previous matches have been horrible.

The two spammed finishing moves too many times at WrestleMania 34 and their Steel Cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble ended with a legitimate botch.

The only match they had that was somewhat decent was three years ago in 2015 during the main event of WrestleMania 31.

They had a decent match that was made even better when Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at the end.

Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar would be a better main event as Lesnar works better with smaller athletic guys. After all, the last decent Lesnar match occurred at Survivor Series in November 2017 when he wrestled against AJ Styles.

We've seen Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar many times and the two just don't have good chemistry.

As aforementioned, the two run out of ideas and they just hit a Spear or F-5 to one another. It's almost like you are watching a match being played in WWE 2K18!

That said, I'm not even a hater of either Reigns and Lesnar because both men have been able to do great matches in the past with the right opponents.

I just want to see something new at SummerSlam 2018 because seeing rematches of boring feuds is not entertaining at all to me.

Let's hope WWE changes its mind and we see Brock Lesnar face Seth Rollins or even Bobby Lashley in the main event of SummerSlam 2018 instead.

The latter is a good choice mainly because Lashley is the same size as Brock and also is an MMA expert too.

There's still two more months left until SummerSlam 2018 happens this August so hopefully Vince McMahon is inspired to book something fresh and different.
