Wonder Woman 2 Rumored To Be Set In The '80s; Star Might Return

Wonder Woman 2 might have another historical setting as this time it will be set in the '80s. Another big revelation is we might see a certain star returning for the sequel. Due to the success of the first movie, it's not unexpected that Warner Bros. wants to fast track a sequel as soon as possible.

As reported by Heroic Hollywood, Wonder Woman 2 will indeed take place in the '80s. She will have to fight off against the Soviet Union now instead of Nazi Germany. This is because the movie will be another period piece as it takes place during the height of the Cold War. It will be interesting to see if Ares is able to come back to haunt Diana Prince again.

The other piece of news is a bit of a spoiler so avoid the rest of this article if you have yet to see the first movie. If you don't care, you can read on as a certain someone is rumored to be returning to the sequel. How or why is yet to be explained.

Anyway, the report further suggests that Chris Pine is returning to play Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 2. If you have seen the movie, you may have seen Trevor die as he sacrificed himself to rid the world of chemical weapons. We saw his plane blow up, although he may have survived...

Story continues below....

Still, the first movie was set in World War 1 so Trevor should be an old man even if he did survive. Unlike Wonder Woman, Trevor is not a goddess that can live for a very long time. That said, this is set in the DCEU and time travel or other supernatural causes could be a factor for the character returning. It could also be the focal point of the entire movie.
