Rumor: John Cena And Kevin Hart Being Eyed For A Knight Rider Movie Reboot

Another David Hasslehoff TV show might be getting a reboot on the big screen.

With Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson starring in Baywatch, we may see John Cena starring in Knight Rider. WWE wrestlers are replacing the roles previously occupied by The Hoff!

This piece of interesting news comes from Screen Rant. A source close to Screen Rant says the studio (Weinstein) wants John Cena and Kevin Hart to star in the Knight Rider movie reboot.

As expected, it will be a comedy. They want it to be similar to the tone of 21 Jump Street.

John Cena is expected to play Michael Knight while Kevin Hart is voicing the car KITT.

It's worth noting this is just a rumor because Weinstein Company has not made an official announcement yet. However, the pair of Cena and Hart could be really funny.

Knight Rider was a huge hit when it was on TV back in the '80s.

The Hoff could star in a cameo much like he appeared briefly in the Baywatch movie earlier this year. That being said, we will just have to wait for more official details in the near future.

If this news ends up being true, this means Cena will again be taking time off wrestling to film more movies. He's already been cast in the Transformers Bumblebee standalone movie.

Cena is hoping to follow the footsteps of both Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Dave Bautista. Both guys have made their mark in Hollywood and Cena is close to their level if he manages to get bigger roles like this.

Cena being away from the WWE might be good news for some wrestling fans. It will mean that the WWE will need to push newer stars. Cena has been in the main event scene in WWE for over 12 years now.
