Ronda Rousey Talks About Changing From UFC To WWE On The Ellen Show

Former UFC fighter and current WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey was a guest on The Ellen Show where she talked about her new career change.

Ellen was very interested as to why Rousey went from doing real fighting to the more scripted nature of professional wrestling.

First of all, Rousey said she and WWE went to great lengths in order to prevent her debut in WWE from leaking out.

Rousey secretly hid when she was training in Florida and wore a hoodie so nobody would know she was appearing at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Ellen also asked Rousey what it's like doing WWE since it's the opposite of UFC as you are supposed to not hurt your opponent. Rousey says it's like acting where you have to rehearse and choreograph your movements.

That said, Rousey did say that if a stiff shot occurs she won't hesitate to punch back. This happened recently when Brock Lesnar punched Braun Strowman for real when the latter accidentally hit Lesnar in the head with a knee.

Rousey is unsure if she wants to go back to the UFC as she's enjoying WWE right now. Rousey signed a multi-year contract so she's unlikely to go back to MMA anytime soon.

Lastly, Rousey shows Ellen herself how to make a mean looking face. Rousey has to look intimidating most of the time as smiling does not really fit her current character.

Anyway, you can watch the interview for yourself in the video posted down below. Rousey will be competing at WrestleMania 34 teaming up with Kurt Angle to face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
