Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is proving to be one behemoth of a box office hit as it continues to dominate worldwide and domestically. The film has also made a little history with the past weekend numbers.

"Disney's 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' crosses the $900 million mark globally with a weekend gross of $78.6 million to now become the fifth highest grossing release of 2016, thus giving The Walt Disney Studios the top 5 global releases of 2016," according to comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

"Fox's 'Assassin's Creed' continues to make its mark in 68 international territories adding $45 million this weekend while pushing its global tally to $147.5 million."

There is no telling how long the film will continue to dominate but it will take a huge blockbuster to knock off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story from its top spot.
