Former UFC star Ronda Rousey is now a WWE Superstar with her first ever wrestling match taking place this Sunday at WrestleMania 34.

Her partner is Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, although that wasn't WWE's first choice to be her partner at the big event.

According to a report from the Wrestler Observer, it has been noted that WWE's first and second picks for Ronda Rousey's partner were Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Dave Bautista (Batista).

However, the two Hollywood actors had to decline the offer which is why Kurt Angle took the spot instead.

An official reason why the two declined the offer as yet to be revealed, but it's more than likely due to the pair's Hollywood schedules.

The Rock is soon going to have to promote Rampage which is out next weekend while Batista will have to do media work for Avengers: infinity War.

Not to mention it's likely The Rock is not allowed to wrestle a heavy schedule because movie studios don't want him getting injured.

Paramount Pictures and director Michael Bay were kind of upset when The Rock injured himself at WrestleMania 29 back in 2013 preventing him from promoting the film 'Pain & Gain'.

As for Batista, he does not want to return to the WWE yet for just one match.

Batista is hoping in the near future to take a break from Hollywood so that he can have one more full-time run in the WWE.

It's also noted that Batista wants to face Triple H in his retirement match too. He wants a singles match and not a mixed-tag match with Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon also involved.

For now, we can wait until Sunday to watch Kurt Angle team up with Ronda Rousey to face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
