This weekend it's Easter holidays for many people around the world and this means many movie goers will be heading inside to the cinema to watch various films.

The one film expected to be number one over the Holiday period is none other than Steven Spielberg's latest movie called 'Ready Player One'.

As reported by Variety, Ready Player One is estimated to earn around $38 million to $42 million across its four day weekend period.

This will likely push the film to be number one in North America beating out Black Panther and the second weekend of Pacific Rim Uprising.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an 82 percent rating which is decent enough for a blockbuster like this.

That said, tracking for the film is slightly down from the original estimates saying the movie could have a four day opening weekend of $45 million to $55 million.

The budget for the film is reportedly over $150 million so this means the movie should gross well over $300 million worldwide in order to break even.

The film needs to recoup most of its budget from overseas market as it looks like the film cannot earn lots of money from North America alone.

It's a competitive time of year since Black Panther is still going strong and Pacific Rim Uprising just came out one week ago.

Not to mention Rampage starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is out in two week's time which is also aiming towards the same type of audience that loves action blockbusters.

Hopefully Ready Player One is successful enough since it's a unique movie based on a popular novel. The futuristic setting and '80s pop culture references should make the film stand out a bit more than other recent blockbusters.
