Religious rap gets a heavy trap spin and some big features on Dee-1's "Against Us" featuring Lupe Fiasco and Big K.R.I.T.

In a reminder to be real, righteous and relevant, Dee-1 turns up his track "Against Us" a couple of notches on the remix. Not only does Dee-1 make his case for being a real rapper rather that taking about killing others in these tumultuous times, he also shows hip-hop that religious rappers can spit over trap songs as well. Big K.R.I.T. doesn't disappoint on the track either.

He calls for more action when it comes to helping each other grow, rather than using both real trigger and Twitter fingers. Meanwhile, Lupe Fiasco goes off in a more braggadocios style.

"Dee-1 dropped off this religious banger back in October of 2014, following which, the song made it onto Dee-1's EP, 3's Up, which dropped in February of last year," according to HotNewHipHop.

"The record is one that touches on moral quandaries of our day, specifically, ones that a devout believer might face."

Real rap doesn't always have to contain the drug, money and violent references and that's really what Dee-1 is trying to prove on the "Against Us" remix.
