George Clooney May Run For California Governor

n having celebrity actor governors California has had mixed success.

Ronald Reagan parlayed the position into becoming a beloved president while Arnold Schwarzenegger sent the state into financial ruin while fathering a child with his housekeeper.

Now noted left-leaning actor George Clooney has made noise about seeking the highest office in the state.

The Sunday Mirror (a British newspaper) reported that Clooney, who campaigned for President Barack Obama is well-liked by members of the Democratic Party.

A friend told The Sunday Mirror: "George is hugely popular with the Democrats and where better place to put him than as the Governor of California.

"It has always been a huge stronghold for the party and one that has a proven record for getting politicians into the Oval office. Now that Amal is by his side it has boosted his credentials even higher."

Clooney has not made a comment on the recent rumors but he has been very clear about his liberal credentials in previous interviews.
