Howard Stern's Howard 101 SiriusXM channel kicks off a new concert series mFriday night (June 20) with a performance and special on Soundgarden celebrating the groups' "Superunknown" album.

Stern announced the special -- the first in a series -- on his radio show Tuesday.

The legendary group has been touring in support of the 20th anniversary of the seminal album. In addition to performing the record in its entirety for the Howard 101 special, the groups also sat for interviews with the radio host.

The show is the first full music concert on Stern's channel though the host has done lengthy sitdowns with many artists including a recent performance/interview with Billy Joel.

The special, which was recorded June 2, marks the second time in its career the band has performed the album from beginning to end.
