The hybrid mama of "The Originals" Phoebe Tonkin and her boyfriend, "The Vampire Dairies" Paul Wesley escaped to a snowy mountain retreat this Halloween and took some beautiful photos.

Wesley who is nominated for a Peoples Choice Award for favorite Sci-Fi TV Actor, posted the first shot of the drive to their mountainous escape with the caption, "Escaping from the trick or treaters. Mountain retreat.

Sorry kids no candy this year." He then followed that Instagram post up with two beautiful snowy views, one of which he crossed what looked to be a snow covered rope bridge.

Wesley finished off his photography with a nice shot of a icicle hanging from what can only be imagined as a cabin in the woods.

Good morning. My snowy view.

Tonkin took over the photographers role and posted two breathtaking photos of her own. One of a snowy passageway deep in the woods followed by a selfie sporting some AM Eyewear sunglasses plugging her homeland's Aussie company.

As the cast of "The Originals" continues their whirlwind of a season two they still find some time to poke fun at each other on social media.

Tonkin made sure to add Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies to the mix by tweeting, "I think @JosephMorgan & @danieljgillies are giving those Pretty Little Liars a run for their money with their beautiful long hair this ep."

Tonkin is referring to the long hair that each actor sported in the flashbacks for this weeks episode "Red Door." The episode was a complete game changer and it looks like the life of one of "The Originals" is in grave danger.

Elijah, played by Gillies, has been captured by his evil witch of a mother, who is forcing him to relive memories of his dark past as well as torturing him with a reality that doesn't exist.

As the action intensifies fans can expect an action packed second half to a so-far brilliant season two. To see what happens to Elijah, fans will have to tune into next Tuesday's episode of "The Originals" on The CW.
