Since the first Wonder Woman is a huge success, talk has already begun about a Wonder Woman 2 being made in the future.

With that being said, it might be hard for some actors to come back since the first movie is set in World War 1.

Bear in mind, spoilers for Wonder Woman will be discussed in this article so click away if you have not watched it. A question mark that remains for the sequel is if Chris Pine is able to return to play Steve Trevor.

Director Patty Jenkins commented briefly on the topic during an interview with Fandango. You can read what she said below.

"All I can say is it was a dilemma," Jenkins said regarding Steve Trevor's fate at the end of the film. "It's something I hope we don't talk about in the public [because] I want people to see, but it's very hard to know which characters will be in the next movie because of the time period, so it's a big question."

Chris Pine's character Steve Trevor died saving the world from chemical bombs at the end of the first Wonder Woman.

Not to mention Wonder Woman 2 is going to be set in the present day so it will be hard for them to bring him back even if the character survived.

That being said, he could return if they are using archival footage.

It's also worth mentioning this is a comic book movie and some supernatural elements could occur as well. The Flash could always go back in time and grab Steve Trevor from the past into the present day.

As of right now there's no release date yet for Wonder Woman 2, but it's certain Warner Bros.

will be going ahead with a sequel. For now, fans can just wait until this November to see Gal Gadot in action again as she teams up with the Justice League.
