There is a new NBC show coming this spring and "The Originals" star Claire Holt is slated to be a regular as "Aquarius" finally gets its release date.

Fans know her as the beloved protector of baby Hope, Rebekah Mikaelson in the hit CW show, "The Originals," but Holt is taking on a whole other role by assuming the role of Charmain Tully.

The role contrasts heavily to the one she played in "The Originals," however, for those who miss seeing Holt on the CW they can breathe a sigh of relief this May.

"Holt will play Officer Charmain Tully, a beautiful young female police officer who is trying to be taken seriously in the male-dominated world of the LAPD in 1967, no easy task," reported E! News earlier last year.

According to IMDB, Holt is already listed for four episodes, though the E! News report suggests that she will appear more regularly. The show features David Duchovny who plays Sam Hodiak an LAPD Sgt.

investigating the Charles Manson murders and the Manson Family, while Grey Damon plays undercover cop Brian Shafe.

In it's current state, "The Originals" has managed to by pass not having Holt assume her role as Rebekah Mikaelson by placing her into another body.

Clever piece of writing by "The Originals" writers. Maisie Richardson-Sellars has now assumed the role of Rebekah and as fans learned this week, her vessel comes with a very troublesome past.

Holt took to her twitter account to retweet her co-stars and the NBC announcement of the May 28, release date for "Aquarius." It looks like "The Originals" fans will have to tune in to NBC's new show if they want to see Holt.
