If you have seen Spider-Man: Homecoming, you may already know that the movie is teasing some things that could happen in the sequel.

We have to wait for the sequel because Peter Parker/Spider-Man will first appear in the next Avengers sequels.

Bear in mind, this article will discuss about heavy spoilers about the first Spider-Man: Homecoming movie. Go watch the movie first if you haven't done so already.

If you saw the end of the movie, you'll know that Spider-Man saved the life of The Vulture/Adrian Toomes. His mechanical wings exploded and he nearly died, but Peter Parker was kind enough to save him.

In the mid-credits scene, we see Toomes being put in prison.

He meets up with Mac Gargan who says he's going to round up some friends to kill Spider-Man. Toomes lies to Gargan claiming he doesn't know the real identity of Spider-Man.

This is a small tease that we will see some form of the Sinister Six in the sequel to Homecoming. Comic book fans will know that Mac Gargan eventually becomes The Scorpion.

His "friends" could include other Spider-Man villains such as Mysterio, Chameleon, Doctor Octopus and Kraven the Hunter. The lineup has changed over the years, but these guys could appear.

It will be interesting if Adrian Toomes becomes a kind of good guy in the sequel.

Toomes has a bit of respect for Parker after he saved his own life as well as his daughter's life too. He could help Parker fight off the Sinister Six to even out the odds a little bit.

Speaking of Toomes' daughter Liz, she might not appear in the sequel because the character is moving town.

This leaves Michelle "MJ" Jones (Zendaya) to be the potential new love interest. She didn't do much in the first movie, so she may play a bigger part in the sequel.

Just before the mid-credits scene, Aunt May finds out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Future movies may show us how Aunt May reacts to this. We can safely say she's not happy about it! Parker might be getting punished for keeping this a secret to her.

Another thing we might see in the sequel or future films is the Iron Spider Suit that Tony Stark showed him.

This is the new suit that Tony Stark upgraded for Peter Parker. Parker however chose to stay in his older suit.

In the far future, we could get the introduction of Miles Morales into the MCU. This is because Donald Glover plays the character of Aaron Davis who eventually becomes The Prowler.

People may know him better as the Uncle to Miles Morales. Morales eventually becomes the new version of Spider-Man.

What we may not see is Venom, because Venom will be having his own movie. Sony is keeping the characters separate for some reason which is a bit of a shame.

There's a lot of things that could happen in the next few years. Hopefully we get a few more details later this month at Comic Con. Spider-Man is returning in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.
