"It's too late to do the Ice Bucket Challenge," said Opie on Tuesday's Opie with Jim Norton Show.

The radio host was responding to audio of WFAN Host Mike Fancesca talking about how fed up he was with seeing video of people taking the challenge.

While Opie was supportive of the idea of raising money for ALS he talked about how lame it is to be late to the social media party.

He essentially agreed with Francesca but openly mocked the dour tone of the sports host.

Francesca's utter lack of humor is frequent topic for Opie and Norton.

The pair also teased in-studio guest Dan Soder for doing the challenge. Soder had video posted on his Facebook page where he dumped a bucket of ice water over his head while standing in a hotel shower.

The Ice Buckey Challenge is a viral awareness campaign designed to raise money for ALS research. Once challenged, a person is supposed to either make a video of himself dumping a bucket of ice water over his head.

If the video is made, the person is supposed to donate $10 to ALS research and they are free to issue challenges to others. If it is not then the person is supposed to donate $100,

Opie acknowledged making a donation to support ALS and Norton said he planned to do the challenge "in a few months," joking that he would do it in bell bottoms to be retro.
