Opie of "The Opie and Anthony show" confirmed this week that the show would be returning to the Montreal Comedy Festival for a live broadcast.

When asked by a caller native to Montreal if they would be returning, Opie said "Yes we'll be going up there." The show had broadcast two shows from Montreal last year and it was a tremendous success.

Shows featured comedians such as Colin Quinn, Robert Kelly, Brad Williams, Joe Derosa, Jesse Joyce, Kurt Metzger, Chris Distefano, Tom Papa, and were also broadcast in front of a live audience, comedian Jim Norton also bought people doughnuts.

The show also did a "Midnight Surprise" Comedy Show which featured many of the names listed above and others. No word yet from Opie and Anthony on if there will be one this year, but comedian Jim Jefferies stated that O&A would in fact be coming up to do something "They're coming up to do a show for Montreal.

There should be nine comics on that one. The morning of the 25th I think." he said in his interview with Scott King of ChicagoNow.com.
