Nominees for SXSW Gaming Awards Announced

The SXSW Gaming Awards, hosted by Janet Varney and Markiplier, will be happening on March 14. The nominees for each award have been announced.

The Video Game of the Year nominees are: Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls II, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Shovel Knight.

The Mobile Game of the Year nominees are: Bravely Default, Hearthsone: Heroes of Warcraft, Monument Valley, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, and Threes.

The Table Top Game of Year nominees are: Dead of Winter, Five Tribes, King of New York, Sheriff of Nottingham, and Star Realms.

The Excellence in Gameplay nominees are: Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle Earth Show of Mordor, Nidhogg, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Titanfall.

The Excellence in Art nominees are: The Banner Saga, Child of Light, Monument Valley, Transistor, and The Wolf Among Us.

There are other awards, such as: Excellence in Animation, Most Valuable Character, Excellence in Visual Achievement, Most Valuable Esports Team, and Excellence in Musical Score.
