There's an interesting phenomenon among news sites online, in which one makes an unfounded claim, and then others repeat the claim, citing the original source and lending it credibility.

In the end, after several levels of citations, the story seems to be true.

That's what happened this week with Rick and Morty, the popular Adult Swim show that completed its second season back in 2015. A site called Korea Portal appears to have started the rumor, along with another site called Blasting News.

Korea Portal's article is titled "'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Cancelation Possible Amid Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland's 'Bad Blood'? Last 13 Episodes Reportedly Airing In July 2017," and in the body of the article, it states clearly that 13 episodes of the show will be airing in July.

We're not sure where they got the July date from, but the show clearly hasn't been canceled.

Several other sites appear to have taken the title of the story, and run with that, suggesting that Korea Portal has canceled the show, and that there may be no more episodes aired.

Although it has been quite a while since season 2 of Rick and Morty aired, and it has been almost three months since the first episode of season 3 aired, there is absolutely no evidence that the show is off-track in any way.

Dan Harmon weighed in on the rumors with this tweet:
