Pop superstar Nicole Scherzinger returns with her stateside solo single "Run".

The track kicks off her new partnership with Epic Records, heralding the release of her formal full-length debut for the label in early 2015.

"Run" (produced by Felix Snow), sees Nicole confidently step into entirely new territory as a singer and performer.

With her soul-stirring voice laid bare against hushed piano and strings, Nicole powers through the track's heart-aching lyrics with a vocal delivery that's at turns soaring and powerful to raw and vulnerable.

She doesn't hold back, showing listeners who she really is.

"I've always spoken about my life in music, but I'm at an age where I can be even more open," she declares.

In order to capture that intimacy, she handpicked the production duo of Tricky Stewart and The-Dream--the men behind chart-toppers like Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and Rihanna's "Umbrella"--to collaborate on the music with her.

Nicole worked closely with executive producers Tricky and The-Dream to create her most daringly honest songs to date.

Culling inspiration from Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis, this latest collection officially introduces the world to Nicole for the first time.

"There's not a million people's fingerprints all over it, or the feeling that anyone else could sing these songs," she goes on.

In the UK, Nicole remains a bona fide icon. She spent two years on The X Factor UK, remaining a fan and critical favorite due to her quick wit and charming personality.

As her celebrity grew, she unleashed two chart-topping singles including the #1 smash "Your Love" and "On The Rocks" as well as "Don't Hold Your Breath" and "Right There". Sold out tours followed, packing historic venues all over the country.

"I've battled a lot of issues and demons, as we all do growing up," Nicole says.

"But I finally feel confident in my own skin, and so I'm open enough to talk about love, insecurities, relationships, my sensual side. I've found my own musical soundtrack to my soul."
