After Marvels announcement of the Female Thor which caused widespread chatter among comic lovers, the popular comic book franchise announced that Captain America will be passing his role on to Sam Wilson "The Falcon."

"The Colbert Report" broke the news as Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada explained the new shift according to NewsOne.com. Steve Rogers, the current Captain America, loses his powers and begins to age rapidly.

The Falcon will take over the role in an upcoming book title this fall, "All-New Captain America," according to the article.

The article also made sure to point out that Falcon is a black man instead of a white man which still doesn't explain how a superhero, who is known for not being able to age and is practically immune to any damage, suddenly loses his powers.

I suppose in time all of our questions will be answered once the book is released.
