It totally helps when some of your good friends happen to be musicians. You always get to hear some of their new music first.

Thankfully for The Ellen Show fans, DeGeneres likes to share that new music. Maroon 5 visited The Ellen Show and performed their latest single, "Cold."

"Cold" also features Future, however, the rapper was not present for the performance. Instead, front man, Adam Levine took the stage with the band as The Ellen Show crowd cheered them on.

Earlier on in the show, Levine sat down with DeGeneres and said that their new album does not yet have a name or release date, however, it's expected sometime in the next couple of months or so.

Meanwhile, "Cold" was actually premiered yesterday on the majority of radio stations and seems to be a big hit already.

"Cold" follows up Maroon 5's Kendrick Lamar collaboration in "Don't Wanna Know." The band seems to be continuing to blend their alternative sound with hip-hop artists as they have done on plenty of tracks on previous albums.
