As you may know already, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 never came into fruition thanks to the poor reception that the second movie got.

Well the director, Marc Webb, talked briefly about what could have been in the next movie if it got made.

Webb talked about future ideas for The Amazing Spider-Man franchise during a recent interview with Den of Greek.

The Sinister Six were supposed to have their own movie and the Green Goblin was set to appear too. You can read his comments on the matter down below.

Yeah, we were talking about the Sinister Six. They were going to make a Sinister Six movie before we did the third one. But I wanted...Chris Cooper was going to come back and play the Goblin. We were going to freeze his head, and then he was going to be brought back to life. And then there was that character called The Gentleman. We had some notions about how to do it, but I think maybe we were thinking too far ahead when we started building in those things. But it was a fun exercise. I look back very fondly on those days.

It seems odd that they were going to use a Green Goblin character yet again. The Green Gobiln was already used in the original movie too.

There were also rumors of bringing Gwen Stacey and her Dad back via clones. However, the film was obviously scrapped and now we have Spider-Man: Homecoming instead.

It would have been interesting to see what the full script for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was going to look like.

Sony was also planning to make a fourth film as well as a Sinister Six movie. Now Sony is making Venom and the Black Cat/Silver Sable movie instead.
