Maggie Gyllenhaal paid her first visit to The Howard Stern Show Tuesday to promote her new mini-series "The Honorable Woman' which will air on The Sundance Channel.

The actress discussed her famous brother, growing up with parents in the Business, and her breakout role in the sexually-charged movie "Secretary," where she starred opposite James Spader.

'I was so freaked out by that movie,' Stern told her. 'It was one of the most strange movies ever.'

Gyllenhaal said that she responded to the script right away and got the role (after five other 'name' actresses turned it down), HowardStern.com reported.

Her co-star, Spader, really got into their roles as dominating boss and submissive secretary, she said.

Gyllenhaal also talked with Stern about her reluctance to take a part in what would become two of the highest-grossing movies of all time "The Dark Knight," and "The Dark Knight Rises."
