In all the excitement of reaching 30 million subscribers, Howard Stern also had comedian Louis C.K. pay him a visit.

Louis C.K. is working on a new project called Horace and Pete and filled Stern in on what it's all about.

Stern introduced C.K. to the show and immediately discussed the fact that he had lost some weight since they last saw him. C.K. says that he has been working out with his own home gym setup. He also said that he trained for a boxing special and does have sparring sessions.

"Howard said that Louie has said when he does Saturday Night Live he discovered that he was going to do a 12 minute set and Lorne told him to cut it to 8," according to MarksFriggin's rundown.

"Howard said he must have wanted to say f**k you to him. Louie said he did 12 minutes in dress rehearsal.

He said he was asked to cut it to 8. He asked what would happen if he kept it to 12. He said Lorne said he would know he has no restraint and he's not professional."

The two talked about Garry Shandling who recently passed away. C.K. actually said that he and Shandling were buddies and even boxed together.

They both raved about how talented Shandling was and how shocking his death was as Stern recently paid tribute to the comedian. C.K. even told the Stern Show listeners that his daughter loved the first episode of The Larry Sanders Show when he showed it to her.

C.K. also addressed quitting Twitter and why he did it. He said that it was gross and he hated it according to MF.

"He said the people who write negative stuff about you always write negative stuff about other people 10 seconds later.

Louie said he has a public email that he checks once in a while and he gets people asking him to kill himself," according to MF.

"He said once in a while he'll write them back. He said every time he does that they'll write back and say they didn't mean it and they were just having a hard day."

Stern and C.K. discussed his FX show Louie that has completed five seasons, before talking about the new endeavor called, Horace and Pete.

"Howard said Horace and Pete came out of Louie's idea to write a movie. Howard said he could have gone to FX with the show but he did it on his own.

Howard said Louie is a renegade and he financed it on his own," according to MF.

"Louie said he did 10 episodes. He said that he didn't do that great but he did alright.

He said it's not done making money though. He said he buried the show and didn't promote it. Howard said he told his fans that it was up when it was ready to be seen."

Meanwhile, C.K. doesn't want to do a sixth season of Louie and said that he did tell FX about it.

It's not completely ruled out as he said maybe he will come back one day and compete a sixth season but at the moment he wasn't into it.
