With the July 27 episode being the first of the last five in the series for True Blood long-time fans are expecting some resolution to long-time storylines.

One of the big threads that need to be resolved is whether the central characters from the show's early season Anna Paquin's Sookie Stackhouse and Stephen Moyer's Vampire Bill Compton will end up together.

The two nearly married in the earlier season but have gone through all possible iterations of a relationship from borderline enemies, to wary rival and most recently friends.

In the beginning of the final season the two have appeared closer and Sookie became available as her boyfriend, the werewolf Alcide Herveaux was killed.

In the normal world most people wait at least six months before dating again but it Bon Temps time about a week should suffice.

It should also be noted that in storyline it was revealed in the last episode that Bill is infected with the "Hep-V" disease which has been killing vampires.

Of course, in real life Moyer and Paquin did get together as the actors are married , but that does not mean the same fate awaits there characters.

While the show and the books upon which they are based have not followed the same storylines, in the novels. Sookie ends up with Sam Merlotte.
