After KidBehindACamera (aka Pickleboy, aka Michael Green) chatted with Empty Lighthouse about The Angry Grandpa Show, he took to his YouTube channel to follow up on pressing Twitter questions, asking him more about his experience rejecting the opportunity for a truTv reality show.

He spoke with a female executive at the television channel, who asked if he would be interested in a reality show with Charles Green/Angry Grandpa.

"At the time I said, yes, I was very interested," Green said. "As the conversation progressed, it became apparent to me that she wanted the videos to be fake."

According to Green, the executive was suggesting scripting situations, and because The Angry Grandpa Show is filmed in real time, he would not be able to "fulfill the obligations needed for that TV show." Other networks approached Green, and each came with a similar situation.

"Doing a reality show would mean the end of our YouTube channel," Green realized.

"So I cut off conversations right there because we're not going to get rid of the YouTube channel just because we can be on TV. The YouTube channel came first, we're not sell outs, we are not going to get rid of what got us to being a show in the first place."
