Nineties kids everywhere are being struck with another wave of nostalgia. Kel Mitchell is coming back to Nickelodeon. This time he's a character that is a comedic version of successful rappers such as Kanye, Diddy, and 50 Cent, in" Game Shakers."

"Game Shakers," is about 7th grade girls, Babe (Cree Cicchino) and Kenzie (Madisyn Shipman).

They created "Sky Whale," a successful music app and are starting a gaming company, "Game Shakers." Mitchell plays Double G, a successful and unpredictable rapper.

He's introduced to the girls because they use one of his songs illegally and he wanted to sue them but ultimately becomes a partner in their business.

Mitchell tells EW, "I love playing such a wild character, because you will see some great physical comedy, but he also has heart; he is a single dad that loves his son, Triple G (Benjamin 'Lil P-Nut' Flores, Jr.).

There are so many layers to this character that it is one of those dream-come-true roles."

The show was created by Dan Schneider, who also created shows like "iCarly" and "Drake & Josh." Schneider was also an executive producer for "All That," "Kenan & Kel," and wrote for "Good Burger," all shows that had a hand in Mitchell's fame.

So it's no surprise that Mitchell would make his return to weekly TV with a show that he created.

Most recently, Mitchell has been doing a lot of voice acting in children's shows. He's voiced characters in "Clifford the Big Red Dog," "Wild Grinders," and "Veggie Tales." "Game Shakers" is predicted to begin in September.
