Kate Hudson Makes Her Stern Show Debut

As Kate Hudson continues to ramp up her press tour for Deepwater Horizon, she took some time to visit the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show to chat about everything from the new film to hanging out with the Rolling Stones at the age of 15 or 16.

Hudson joined Stern who was happy to have her on the show and immediately began talking about her time hanging out with the Rolling Stones when she was around the age of 15 or 16.

Hudson said she was doing a shoot for Tommy Hilfiger and was on Party of Five.

"She said Keith showed her around and by the end of it she was able to translate what he was saying. Howard said she's like a Keith Richards whisperer," according to a MarksFriggin rundown.

Stern asked her if they were flirtatious with her but she denied it and said they just talked about how the time they met her mother, Goldie Hawn.

Hudson continued to saw that you felt cool around the Stones and that you just didn't want to get kicked out. Meanwhile, Hudson also praised her father for instilling values in her when she was growing up.

"She said Kurt was great with it when they were growing up. She said Kurt is brutally honest," according to MF.

"She said she loves him so much. She said he's a great guy and an original. She said he's a hard sell."

Hudson also raved about her mother's ability to stay grounded and leave work related things out of the home. She also said that she is not attracted to yes people and that's why she was with Kurt Russell.

The star added that there was no competition in the family when it came to acting and added that while she doesn't like to watch herself on-screen, she has.

"She said that she watched Almost Famous with her 12 year old son recently," according to MF.

"Howard asked if she was laying in bed. Kate said she was in and out of the room. She said it was interesting to see how it held up over time and her son loved it."

Hudson also chatted about how her parents were very strict financially.

She was driving an 82 Saab in the 90s and that they wanted to make they compensated for how privileged they were.

In terms of her personal life, Hudson said she hasn't been dating much and is taking a bit of a break, however, she was approached by a guy to take a photo and he also asked her for her number.

"Howard asked if Kate's dad, Bill Hudson, was out of her life the whole time. She said he was in it early on," according to MF.

"Then it petered out. Howard asked if she wondered what was going on there.

Kate said that's the age old core issue for something like that. Kate said anyone who has had an issue with that is going to manifest itself in some way. She said that she's in therapy and she loves it."

Later on in the interview, Hudson gave a rundown on the Deepwater Horizon film, which is based off of the BP oil spill, more importantly the lives that were lost aboard the Deepwater Horizon tanker.
