While filming for Star Wars: Episode IX does not start until later this year, John Boyega (Finn) may have let out a small spoiler about what his character looks like in the next movie.

It could be a hint that there is a time jump between the events of The Last Jedi and Episode IX.

John Boyega was recently interviewed by Yahoo (via Heroic Hollywood) and he revealed some interesting news about what Finn looks like in the next movie.

He said "The first step is growing out my hair, so you can wait for the trailer to see why".

This is a sign that the film has some type of time jump as you need some weeks or even months to grow out your hair.

It might also indicate that Finn could be training as a Jedi with Rey, although that's just speculation on my part.

It's not a huge spoiler, but it's interesting Boyega chose to reveal this piece of information before the film starts production later this year.

The Last Jedi didn't have a big time jump as it picked up right after The Force Awakens just ended.

Many Star Wars fans are hoping Episode IX is a big improvement over The Last Jedi.

While The Last Jedi does have its fans, there are many other fans out there that didn't like the movie for some reason or another.

Some fans will be happy that JJ Abrams is back writing and directing this movie since Rian Johnson is concentrating on another Star Wars trilogy instead. It will be interesting to see how Abrams concludes this new trilogy.

Star Wars: Episode IX won't be coming out until December 2019. The film was delayed by several months since Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow parted ways with the project thanks to creative differences with Lucasfilm.
