Joe Fenton is an artist from London with a great illustrative talent. With his pencil, he creates surreal worlds of great impact on its viewers.

His long art process requires a lot of patience to perfectly reproduce what his mind suggests.
The mystic tones of Fenton's art reminds viewers of the oriental iconography, with a mixture of symbols and weird characters, part of detailed illustrations. One of his most ambitious projects is called "Solitude", and is a huge panel that kept him busy for 10 months, starting from 2010, and entirely realized with pencils, ink pens and acrylic colours, the result is an impressive monochromatic work.
"It's just how my mind works. I'm not satisfied until I have filled my images with many details, telling many stories in one image," Fenton stated about creating such detailed artwork. "Most of my works are embedded by ornamented frames with influences from the Baroque and renaissance periods.

These artisans were also passionate about detailed work. Growing up in the UK I was lucky to be exposed to many beautiful things.

I lived in some wonderful old houses and was surrounded by many old antiques from these periods. I think this gave me a real appreciation for artisans and designers from those times."
