Even though Superman is a huge part of the DCEU, Warner Bros has been taking its sweet time making a Man of Steel 2.

Well a sequel is still coming and actor Jesse Eisenberg is hoping to be a part of the movie reprising his role as Lex Luthor.

Variety had a chance to interview Eisenberg recently and they asked him about the possibility of him appearing in another Superman film. Eisenberg still likes the role and is hoping he can return to it in a potential sequel.

"I hope so. I mean, I have no idea is the truth. I love playing the character. Probably in terms of movie acting, it’s the most enjoyable character I’ve had the opportunity to play. So I would love to do it again. But I don’t know what their slate is. If you have any pull, please use it."

Interestingly enough, Eisenberg denied that his Lex Luthor was supposed to have more scenes in the Justice League movie.

It's rumored the Zack Snyder cut had more scenes of him in it, but Eisenberg just said the post credits scene was all that he was scheduled to really do.

Speaking of Justice League, the original plan for the Lex Luthor character was for him to team up with Deathstroke to form their own supervillain team to go up against the Justice League.

However, plans for Justice League 2 have now been put on hold since Justice League underwhelmed at the Box Office.

Warner Bros and star Henry Cavill are interested in making Man of Steel 2, but sadly it's been hard to pinpoint an appropriate release date for the film. The only films in heavy production now include Wonder Woman 2, Aquaman and Shazam.
