Jennette McCurdy's success on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and its spinoff "Sam and Cat" has made her legions of young fans.

The star is paying back some of that support by doing her part to help kids with cancer and support St. Jude's children's hospital.

McCurdy has paid numerous visits to the hospital over the years, to bring a smile to the kids battling the deadly disease.

McCurdy serves as a celebrity ambassador for the hospital and when she visits, she meets with patients, signs autographs, poses for photos.

McCurdy serves as one of the St. Jude Math-A-Thon campaign's spokespersons, along with fellow stars Ariana Grande and Nathan Kress.

The charity is near and dear to McCurdy's heart, an affection she explains in this YouTube video.

McCurdy has been working with the charity for many years, raising $140,000 for the hospital as far back as 2011.

Her enthusiasm for the cause has not flagged in the years since then and she actively posts to her five million Twitter fans to get them involved.
