Tommy Oliver, the White Ranger's true identity, gets Saba when he gets his new suit and powers. He is revealed in the latter half of season 2 as the new leader of the team. Prior to his debut as the White Ranger, Tommy was the Green Ranger.

He got his powers from the series' main antagonist, who cast a spell on the unsuspecting youth. This turned Tommy evil, and he was the toughest nemesis the original five power rangers had to face.

He was later liberated from Rita's magic and joined the good guys.

This, however, didn't last long; Tommy's powers dissolved after being freed from Rita's spell. He left the team, which was supposed to be permanent at first. But, during his brief absence from the show, fans requested his return due to this popularity.

This caused Saban to bring him back as the White Ranger--even if they originally intended to give that role to someone else.

Since then, Tommy has become the most popular character in the series, and is known by fans as the original team's best fighter.

San Diego Comic Con starts on July 9, and goes until the 12. For more about the event, visit its official website here.
