If you ever wanted to know what a day in the life of Diplo is like, just ask James Van Der Beek, he knows.

In a new video for Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party tour, Van Der Beek helps Diplo with a special promo video.

First we have to address the fact that with a hat on, Van Der Beek bares a striking resemblance to Diplo. He's also mastered the lingo with a "what's up fam" greeting.

He tells fans that his life is the same as everyone else.

He walks through a hall of booty-shakers and into a room of little elves who are working hard to develop a new sound. Out of nowhere, Diplo, excuse us, Van Der Beek, battles a group of angry ninjas.

"This year's Mad Decent Block party lineups include Kesha, Diplo, Tiesto, D.R.A.M., AlunaGeorge, Baauer, Boi-1da, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, Kaskade, Flosstradamus, Zeds Dead, Giraffage and Rich the Kid," according to Billboard.

It's a little unclear how James Van Der Beek got involved with Diplo and his team but one thing is for sure, he totally kills it in this video.
