When J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar dropped their Black Friday verses, Lamar seemed to go for the jugular while Cole is working on the element of surprise and building buzz for 2016. Cole hinted a project and we think it might be Truly Yours 4.

The J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar collaboration was put to rest in his Black Friday freestyle over the instrumental for Lamar's "Alright." Cole rapped, "When you and K. Dot sh*t dropping? B**ch never, they can't handle two Black ni**as this clever. But this February, bet sh*t get scary when I f**k around and drop..." In denying the collaborative mixtape, Cole also hinted to another project for February and after looking at the queue of projects he released at the end of 2014, Truly Yours 4 seems like the heavy outlier.

Along with Truly Yours 4, Cole also had playlists titled, Slept on Beats, Revenge of the Dreamers 2, and an Anguilla list. While Revenge of the Dreamers 2 would also be a top prospect, it's more of a collaborative effort with Dreamville artists like Bas and Omen. Chances are if Cole wants the world to fear his flow the only singular go to is Truly Yours 4.

It looks like we're going to have to wait until February to find out what exactly J. Cole has planned.
