IGN, the popular video game website, is holding a promotion. Their London office is inviting fans to play Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor before its release.

"Whether you're a fan of J.R.R Tolkein or not, we've got something every action game fan will want a piece of," IGN stated, "We're inviting a bunch of readers to play Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor at IGN's London office a day before release, so you can slaughter orcs before anyone else."

In Shadow of Mordor, you play as Talion--an Aragorn-looking ranger with the powers of a wraith. With a grudge against Sauron's forces, Talion infiltrates their ranks in order to get revenge.

IGN gave the title a favorable review; with a 9.3 out of 10 score on the site, IGN wrote, "Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor stands out from other open-world action games by putting a great new layer on top of the trail that Batman (Arkham series) blazed.

I was surprised at how well it integrates its excellent combat with rewarding feedback progression not just for me, but also for my enemies.

I've had many more memorable and unpredictable battles with its randomized Warchiefs and captains than I did in the scripted campaign missions, and I expect those to keep on coming."
