Fans on the popular chat forum website, Reddit, have begun speculating the legitimacy of caller "Monotone Matt" as a bonafide Wack Packer.

Could he be a pranking phony? Or perhaps, given his history, he's a perfect fit for the Wack Pack?

In seven minute except from the Stern Show published September 27, 2012, a man named Matt--who sounds extremely similar to Monotone Matt--called in to share some charming life stories.

In the excerpt, a caller named Matt told Stern that he gave a b***job to a man for crack--though denied that he was gay.

He said he had relations with some "crack whores", and would continue to call in with more stories. "I claim that this guy has got to be a little bit gay," Stern is heard saying.

Monotone Matt called in to the Stern Show November 3 and 5, 2015, to talk about his marriage problems with his wife, and his progress seems like it could become a running segment on the show.

Commenter IoncehadafourLbPoop wrote: "Very fake.

First call he sounded fake and Robin says "ooooh next whack packer?" And each time he has called since he's been playing it up for the mic more and more. It sounds really desperate on Howard's end."

Another commenter, dupey19th, wrote: "Oh shit, this call is way different than the way he was acting this week."

And another commenter, c***ynugget, wrote: "He pisses me off. He's just so put-on and fake."

The general consensus of Redditors chatting on r/howardstern seems to be that this Matt caller is obviously fake.

What do you think? Is "Monotone Matt" pulling the wool over everyone's eyes? Or, considering the story he told Stern two years ago, he could truly be some prime Wack Pack material.
