Since getting married Howard Stern has gone from being a guy who has a dog to a guy who supports animals.

The radio host not only fosters kittens along with his wife Beth, he has become a huge supporter of the North Shore Animal League, a no-kill shelter on Long Island. Stern and his wife, Beth, are raising money to build a a shelter for NSAL which would allow the animals to roam free and not be caged.

Stern has supported that in a variety of ways including shooting a calendar with proceeds benefiting the cause. Now. Stern is supporting his wife as she has started making a monthly pick of a dog which needs adoption.

This month's selection is Sammy, a 12-year-old chocolate lab mix looking for a loving home. He comes from a home where he was completely neglected, but is the sweetest boy in the world, according to HowardStern.com.

Sammy is great with kids and all animals. He is also fully housebroken.
