You will often hear Howard Stern talk about his career and the different tribulations he had to go through, today during his SiriusXM radio show, Stern let the fans in on some more worries from his past.

"Howard said they had kick ass rock and roll there but then some moms complained about the slogan and they had to take it down," according to MarksFriggin.

"Howard said they didn't like kick ass. Howard said they were trying to be bad but hold on to their McDonald's sponsorship. He said you can do that or throw all caution to the wind and see what happens."

Stern started to see sponsors cancel on the shows which meant higher-ups were starting to think maybe they had made a mistake in hiring him.

Instantly, Stern knew that his show had to shoot up to number one of things would go downhill.

"Howard said his career is so stressful. He said he thinks he doesn't get paid enough for that stress," according to MF.

After three weeks or so they couldn't hang on to lower level sponsors and Robin Quivers pointed out that they would have had to start playing Barry Manilow. Eventually Stern's show had to go commercial-free for some time and the ratings did shoot up pretty fast.

However, when they put commercials back in to make money, the listeners felt betrayed. When you think about it, Stern did have some rough times but found a pretty good home with SiriusXM.
