Eric "The Actor" Lynch, a well-known personality on the Howard Stern Show and a member of Stern's "Wack Pack", passed away at 39 years old on Saturday, September 20.

The news was released Sunday afternoon by Lynch's manager, Johnny Fratto, on Twitter.

"I loved Eric. I truly, truly loved him," Stern said. "I was always amazed at how feisty he was, how pissed off he was, how he called me Big Nose."

Monday morning on The Howard Stern Show, Stern spoke with Yahn, Eric's long time caretaker.

Eric "The Actor" had appeared on show last Tuesday to announce that his parents were going to be his primary caretakers in the near future, and this past Saturday was Yahn's last day working with Lynch.

"I told him Friday night he should go to the doctor's," Yahn said, as Lynch looked "a little jaundiced." Saturday morning he complained about feeling unstable and an ambulance was called, where paramedics discovered Lynch's blood pressure to be low.

His kidneys and liver shut down, and he passed away at about 3:15 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in a California hospital from a heart condition.

"My favorite Eric moment," Stern told Yahn.

"Eric had gotten a job on a TV show that we got for him, 'In Plain Sight'. He had to go down to New Mexico, but he was afraid that werewolves lived in New Mexico."

Lynch made his first appearance on The Howard Stern Show when he called into the program in 2002. He became famous as a frequent caller, and known for his heated and combative conversations with Stern.

"Most people in Eric's condition would be bitter, but Eric loved life," Stern said fondly. "Out of all he has dealt with, he still carried on like a maniac. And it was the greatest."
