Howard Stern Recap 1/5: NY Daily News Apologizes to Stern

On the first show of the new year, the Howard Stern Show went through a typical round up of all that is great and good in the Stern universe.

Funny audio clips and enjoyable callers dominated the talk, while news came out that The NY Daily News issued a semi-apology to Stern.

On page six of this issue of The NY Daily News, Howard Stern was called an "idiot" for likening the Sony hacks to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and he was very upset about it.

He called the situation an issue of yellow journalism, and demanded an apology.

Stern had the article with him, and told Robin that he's sure no one saw it.

The apology was buried in the paper. The apology comes after many letters to the editor supporting Stern, stating that he was owed an apology.

January 1, 2015 is first show with new 7:00 a.m. time slot. Stern opened the show talking about his schedule adjustment, and how he was prepared to go on air at 6 a.m. However, he was able to sleep until 5 a.m.

Howard Stern finally met JD Harmeyer's girlfriend. The saga surrounding JD Harmeyer's supposed girlfriend came to an end at the Stern Show's Christmas Party.

"It was kind of anticlimactic," Stern said. He said he saw Harmeyer standing with his arm around a normal looking girl, and it was weird to see him like that.
