Howard Stern is having a colonoscopy. This is the kind of hard-hitting information we tune in to hear.

Stern opened up his show talking about he can't eat because of his upcoming colonoscopy.

He can only have coffee, tea, Jell-O (but not the red kin), clear chicken or beef broth, and apple or grapefruit juice, without the pulp. He already had two bottles of apple juice this morning.

At 3 p.m. today, he has to take a Dulcolax, so remember that around 3 p.m., somewhere in New York, Howard Stern is taking a Dulcolax.

He will then take stool softeners periodically throughout the day. Stern has already made plans for his wife, Beth, to sleep in another room.

All of this effort is to prevent colon cancer.

Hey Now Highlights

Stern wants you to adopt a cat. Howard and his wife Beth do a lot of work with kittens and cats, but two cats at the shelter he helps at have been homeless for two years.

"They love to play and lounge," he says, and they're litter box trained. With six cats of his own already, he's asking for someone to step up and adopt them. You can write to BethSternFosters@gmail.com if you're interested.
